AimCalc is a ballistic calculator for iPhone and Apple Watch. It is built to work entirely on your device. We do not operate any servers, and the app contains no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs.
If you grant location access, the app uses your position for two things only:
If you create a range journal entry, the most recently captured coordinates are saved into that entry, on your device only, like the rest of the journal.
Location is optional. Every environmental value can be entered manually, and the app is fully functional with location denied.
The point-at-target incline feature shows a live camera view so you can put the crosshair on your target, and reads the device's motion sensors to measure the angle; that camera image is displayed only, never captured, stored, or transmitted. The camera can also take a target photo for a range journal entry, but only when you tap the shutter, and the photo goes only into the app's on-device journal storage. Nothing is transmitted anywhere.
If you contact support or suggest a feature, the app opens a pre-filled draft in your own mail app; nothing is sent unless you send it. If you do, we receive your email address and whatever you wrote, along with basic app diagnostics included in the draft (app version, iOS version, device model, active profile name, unit settings). We use this only to respond to you and do not share it with anyone.
None. We collect no personal data, usage data, identifiers, or diagnostics. There is nothing to sell, share, or breach on our end, because nothing is transmitted to us.
AimCalc is a tool for lawful shooting sports and hunting, and is not directed at children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new effective date. Because the app has no data collection to expand, changes are expected to be rare and editorial.
