Terms of Use

Effective date: July 12, 2026 ยท Version 1

AimCalc is a ballistic calculator for iPhone and Apple Watch. These terms are presented in the app on first launch, and using the app requires agreeing to them. They exist for one reason: this is a tool for sport, and we want that written down.

Lawful use only

AimCalc is a tool for lawful shooting sports, hunting where legal, and ballistics education. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes.

Never against a person

You agree not to use this app to harm, threaten, or target any human being, or in planning or furtherance of any unlawful act. If you cannot agree to this, do not use the app.

You are responsible

Safe firearm handling and compliance with every law that applies to you (local, state, and federal) is entirely your responsibility. The app does not know your laws or your backstop. Know your target and what lies beyond it.

Estimates, not guarantees

Firing solutions are mathematical predictions computed from the data you enter. Real-world results vary with your equipment, your inputs, and conditions. Verify with live fire before relying on any output. The app is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim liability for how it is used.

Adults

AimCalc is intended for adults, and for supervised minors participating in sanctioned shooting sports.

How acceptance works

The app records the agreement version and the date of acceptance on your device only, consistent with our privacy policy, nothing is transmitted to us. If these terms change materially, the version number increases and the app asks you to accept again. You can re-read the terms anytime in Settings โ†’ About โ†’ Terms of Use.

App Store license

Your download is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms supplement it; where they conflict, Apple's EULA controls for App Store matters.
